#48 Remarkable.

Why is this post called remarkable? Well simply because I cannot believe I’ve made it this far writing a poem every day. It’s not easy. Today I’m stumped. Maybe it’s because I’ve been working on another writing project today? My mind won’t go where I need it to be. Anyway perhaps if I have a bit of a ramble first some kind of inspiration will hit me.

If you haven’t seen Bohemian Rhapsody the film, I implore you to watch it! I always loved Queen, but perhaps because I was born in 1972 I missed out on some important parts of the journey. Anyway it is such an epic film and I am just completely obsessed with Freddie and his life and the bands history and all the music. As I have been feeling unwell I have been watching loads of videos on YouTube about Freddie et al.

From Freddie interviews I ended up watching Mark Weins channel. So from music to food 😉 Two of my favourite things in life! That reminds me I still haven’t splurged for my birthday present yet. I’m not in any hurry though and it won’t hurt my savings account for me to wait awhile as this month has been very expensive and now I need to start saving again and maintaining my budget. Besides that I have plenty to keep me busy for awhile 🙂 I haven’t had much of a chance to dip into my hobby stuff yet and I currently have a writing project that will keep me very busy for at least the next month, maybe longer if I drag my feel about it. I’m hoping to have it finished sooner but we’ll see. So for my poem I’m going to try a one word prompt. And my word is Patch. Can’t believe I just typed “one word poetry prompt” and google delivered to me all these sites for prompts! I went with Oneword.com. I now have 60 seconds to write.

Patch

A patch of light hits the ceiling
through the holes in the lace net curtains
hanging lazily from the wooden rod above the window
I see the green leaves fluttering
in the tree outside
through the holes in the lace net curtains
how beautiful the world looks
the sun winking at me through the leaves
while they flutter
in the breeze
the patch of light blinks
lazily as the breeze sings
through the leaves
a harmony of bliss
as I lay staring at the patch.
