#141 Library

This afternoon I had a cluster of appointments to attend. As they were all for me, I went alone. In between appointments I got to visit the library and select some books. I’m pretty excited about my finds, especially a novel titled “Red Hats” by Damon Wayans. I had no idea he was a writer! I also picked up another book called “Mansfield Revisited” by Joan Aiken. It’s a sequel to Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park. The author was an expert on Austen’s works and an amazing author in her own right. I’m trying to decide which book to read first 🙂

Libraries have always been important to me and I’ve been visiting them my whole life. Of course, they have changed immensley, since I was a child. When I was old enough to go on my own, I used to ride my bike there and spend hours reading and just looking through books. It was my favorite place. Our local library is incredible. You can check out your own books and everything is digital. You can even borrow electronic books and audio books. They have loads of events and groups and are very well organised. What is not to love? Books you can borrow for free, music, magazines, everything. Amazing free wifi! Lots of comfortable places to sit and do whatever. I hope that when I’m old I live near one 🙂
