#183 Oranges

For some strange reason, I just cannot get enough of navel oranges at the moment. I’m eating them every day. I suppose that’s a good thing because it’s winter and citrus is supposed to be good for keeping colds at bay, what with all the vitamin C. That’s something I’ve not ever researched. I’m sure there are peer reviewed journal articles about it somewhere 😉 Considering one navel orange has 138% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C, and common understanding is that Vitamin C is some kind of defence, it would appear to make sense. Either way they just taste so good that I love them! Why are they called navel oranges? What about the whole, if you eat carrots 🥕 you’ll be able to see better in the dark thing? I really believed that as a kid. But is it actually true? There are so many things I don’t know and you know what? That makes me happy because it means there are so many things left to learn and so many exciting new discoveries to be made. I love that all people have a unique and individual knowledge base. I love that it is ever changing. xo
