If you’ve ever had your heart broken, you know that the emotional anguish can actually manifest in physical pain. It’s awful and terrible.

I found out something interesting while I was researching information about heart conditions, there is an actual medical condition named Broken Heart Syndrome.

According to http://www.heart.org, “Broken heart syndrome, also called stress-induced cardiomyopathy or takotsubo cardiomyopathy, can strike even if you’re healthy” and women have a higher risk of experiencing it than men.

  1. Wow, didn’t know that, the article I’m reading says “the death of a close relative increases the risk of dying within one year by a factor of seven.” Awww … sad!
