I have been watching episodes of the show Restoration Home on YouTube. I’m watching the UK episodes and loving them.
The story of houses are interwoven with the stories of the lives of the people who lived in them, and the people who built them. A new part of history is also being documented, that of the people who are undertaking the restorations. You also get to learn about the history of the architecture and the locations of the houses. Another fascinating aspect is the exploration of various skills and trades that you may not have heard of before. I’m totally hooked and just learning so much. If it sounds interesting to you, just type in Restoration Home in the YouTube search bar and enjoy 🙂 xo
I saw this beautiful old car the other day and I was transported back to my childhood instantly. It’s the same Morris that my mum had when my sister and I were very young. Ours was grey in colour. I remember in winter that Mama would need to pour boiled water on the windscreen. Such a gorgeous old car and in such great condition!
