#288 Boxes.

Today I was going through some things and sorting items to donate to the thrift shop. It was enjoyable and I found so many things I love in my storage boxes. We rent our current home and because of that I have lots of storage boxes. I found some great notebooks I forgot I even had. This is great because I needed a new one for menu planning and my food shopping lists. I keep this by my bedside and also have a whiteboard on my fridge door than anyone can add items too as they run out. Sometimes someone needs or would like something specific so they can just add it to the list. It’s a pretty good system and helps me not to forget things.

In our garage there are quite a few moving boxes still sealed from when we moved into this house three years ago. I know there are untold treasures in those boxes and every now and again, I’m so tempted to start opening them up. In my wisdom, I decided that I wasn’t going to unpack everything because I’d have to pack it all again at the end of the twelve month lease. Er hm, yes as I said previously, we’ve been here for three years 😉 So there is that. Now I have this sneaking suspicion that if I go ahead and start opening them it will jinx me and then we’ll end up going to move! I know it’s completely ridiculous and makes no sense. At all 🙂

Realistically, if I did unpack them we’d need at least three more sets of bookshelves and there is not enough cupboard space for all my pots and pans. I have lots of collections of things too! From crystals to a crystal ball, to more games and stationery, artefacts from other places, so many cool things, but their just isn’t anywhere for it to go. Now this has all got me thinking that if we are going to stay here next year, I may just start opening my boxes and I can sort things out. One box at a time. Maybe there are things I will want to donate or things that the kids would want to have or use. There could be things to sell or share? I’ll take to Mr Notebook and see what he thinks. xo

New old notebook 🙂
