Today the main job I wanted to do was the grocery shop. I did a meal plan and wrote my list. We planned to head to our closest Spudshed to do this weeks shop. Spudshed is a huge warehouse style fresh food market. They have the best prices for fruit and veg and they have some good specials on meat and other grocery items. I wouldn’t buy my laundry or cleaning items there because they are cheaper at the big chain supermarkets or even less at Aldi. In fact I will head to Aldi for a few things including some shampoo and conditioner and hand soap and laundry soap too.
Anyway at around lunch time I tried to go onto my banking app to do a funds transfer for said grocery shop, and discovered that I couldn’t. We are currently using our emergency fund as Mr Notebook is still job hunting. He’s got a few interviews next week, so fingers crossed. Having said that, I’m being very careful with what we spend until our income is back to some kind of normality.
I had an inkling that there might be a problem with my bank so I went online to investigate. Sure enough the bank was down, a major outage that they ended up lasting all day and into the evening. Never mind, things like this are bound to happen from time to time. Luckily we had enough to go on with. I ended up making an Italian style chicken dish which we had with pasta. Everybody must have enjoyed it because there are no leftovers 🙂 Tomorrow, we shop. xo

Your dinner sounds really good!

It was a super easy, throw together whatever you have kind of thing :)The usual onions and garlic sauteed together, added in some sliced chicken breast that I had, along with some peppers, herbs and tinned and fresh but old cherry tomatoes. I think I put in some pasta sauce that I had leftover in the fridge too! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment 🙂
