I’m late with week four because I’ve been flat out with so many things 🙂 I’m here now though 😉 I’ve been getting loads of things done and that feels great. I am looking forward to a slower weekend though and it will be my birthday so I might get cake! Cake is always a bonus. Maybe I’ll buy some delicious pastries from the bakery for a birthday treat. I’m looking forward to just kicking back with my family and maybe watching a movie together. Doesn’t get much better than that.
This week I’m going to share a recipe I tried out in the new slow cooker from a book a hit for Christmas called Slow Cooker Central Family Favorites. It’s a great book, with quite a huge variety of recipes. The recipe was definitely a win because everyone enjoyed it.
So I made Beef in Red Wine and we had it with lovely creamy, buttery mashed potatoes and some green beans on the side 🙂 Delicious!
I did leave out the mushrooms as Mr. Notebook isn’t a fan. I added two medium carrots chopped into bite sized pieces instead. The recipe was simple and the result was wonderful. I think I’m going try another recipe from the book this week 🙂
