2020 Week 5 Risotto Disaster

Late again! Seems to be becoming a habit πŸ˜‰ I’m usually a punctual person, but not, it seems, when it comes to blogging. I was trying to have a schedule of writing every Sunday. As you can see, I’m not going too well with that! I’m going to go back to writing whenever I feel inspired to. I currently have a sinus infection. I just thought I had a cold. Anyway I have some antibiotics and some steroid nasal spray, so hopefully I’ll feel less like my eyes are going to explode soon πŸ˜‰ I got a really, really unexpected birthday present from Mr Notebook and Mama. I was taken unsuspecting to a really big shopping centre by Mr Notebook and some of the fruits (kids) and then shepherded into the Apple store. I thought he just wanted to look around. The he leads me over to one of the staff members and she says “hi! Happy birthday! would you like to choose a watch of your choice?” I’m not generally a person who is lost for words. I stood there with my mouth agape for a good twenty seconds. Mr Notebook was smiling his head off and one of the boys informed me that I looked pretty hilarious and that I had no idea! “Such a cool surprise mum!” he says. WOW!! wait! what!! I couldn’t believe it. I chose the band I liked, which was the one Mr Notebook had chosen for me anyway and then we just went off for a coffee and some food and to wait until they text me that my watch was ready. Seriously unbelievable. So now I am the owner of an Apple Watch. I’m still learning to use it. So far I love the activity rings and the awesome watch faces you can choose from.

Levi πŸ™‚ Always adorable.

I tried making a risotto the other day in the Tefal Cook4me. I was quite excited about it. I confess now, that it was a fail due to the fact that I got overexcited during in the white wine! Half a cup, not half a bottle was all that was required. I don’t know why I did it but I did. I mean it was still edible, but…..no. It was a definite and epic fail πŸ˜‰ I must have been feeling flamboyant or something. Also the rice was still a little harder than I would like. I will try again and this time I will know, not too heavy on the wine or parmesan. I do have some nice photos though πŸ˜‰

I’m feeling grateful and optimistic. I’m hoping that all the things are going to work out. I’m also wishing the best for you and your loved ones. Tonight I get to fall asleep knowing that I’m loved. There is no better fortune than that. xo
